PERSONAL SETUP GUIDE

Connect your Axiomyx memory to ChatGPT.

Choose the files Axiomyx can use, approve a one-time code on your Mac, then ask ChatGPT for answers grounded in your indexed evidence.

This ChatGPT connector guide covers the current Intel and Apple silicon Mac releases. Axiomyx Personal is also live for Windows 11, where connection options can differ. ChatGPT plugin controls may differ by account and workspace.

FIVE STEPS

From your files to a source-linked answer.

  1. STEP 1

Install Axiomyx Personal on your Mac

Get the Intel or Apple silicon version from the Mac App Store, open it, and complete the in-app setup. Axiomyx Personal is also live in the Microsoft Store for Windows 11, but this guide covers the current Mac ChatGPT connector flow.

  2. STEP 2

Choose the evidence ChatGPT may use

In Axiomyx Personal, use Choose files or Choose folder. Wait for the app to confirm that your selected documents have been indexed. Unselected folders are not added.

  3. STEP 3

    Start the connection in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open Plugins (or Apps, if that is what your account shows) and find Axiomyx Personal. Select Install plugin if shown, then Connect. ChatGPT will show a 12-character approval code.

  4. STEP 4

    Approve the code in Axiomyx

Return to the Axiomyx Personal Mac app. Select Connect ChatGPT or Codex, enter the approval code from ChatGPT, and confirm. Axiomyx will tell you when the read-only connection is approved.

  5. STEP 5

Ask ChatGPT to use your evidence

Return to ChatGPT to finish connecting. In a chat, select Axiomyx Personal with @ or from + → More when your ChatGPT interface offers it, then ask a question about your indexed sources.

TRY YOUR FIRST QUESTION

Ask for evidence, not just an answer.

EXAMPLE PROMPT

Use Axiomyx Personal to list my indexed sources. Search them for [your topic], then answer with the source and provenance for each relevant finding.

Axiomyx can search and retrieve indexed evidence with source references. It cannot answer from a folder you have not selected or a document that has not finished indexing.

KNOW THE PRIVACY BOUNDARY

Your index stays on your Mac. Requested evidence can leave it.

Approving ChatGPT grants read-only access to the sources you indexed in Axiomyx; it does not let ChatGPT edit or delete your files. Your original files and index remain on your Mac. When ChatGPT uses the connector, its requests and returned source details or evidence pass through an Axiomyx-operated internet relay to OpenAI. You do not approve each excerpt separately.

IF SOMETHING DOES NOT WORK

Quick checks before contacting support.

I cannot find Axiomyx Personal in ChatGPT

Plugin availability can depend on your ChatGPT account, plan, region or workspace settings. Check that you are using the intended account; a workspace administrator may need to allow the plugin.

ChatGPT says the code is invalid or expired

Start a new Axiomyx Personal connection in ChatGPT and enter its new 12-character code in the Mac app. Do not reuse an earlier code.

ChatGPT cannot find my files

Check that the files or folder were added in Axiomyx and that indexing finished. Keep Axiomyx Personal running and your Mac online while using the ChatGPT connection.

I want to stop the connection

Disconnect Axiomyx Personal in ChatGPT and quit the Mac app to stop its local service. Closing the app window may leave it running. Disconnecting in ChatGPT may not remove Axiomyx relay authorisation metadata; see the privacy notice for the full boundary.
